Why we suck at killing them 1

Roci has been doing some posts on why they hate us, and by "they" he means Islamic terrorists and their sympathizers. In the spirit of that, I have at least one example that shows why we suck at killing these menaces to our people and the world in general:

"You see powder [flour] connected by arrows and chalk, you never know," she
said. "It could be a terrorist, it could be something more serious.
We're thankful it wasn't, but there were a lot of resources that went
into figuring that out."
Stay tuned for more of Your Government At Work.

F'ing tards! Just cuz you are feloniously stupid doesn't make someone else's actions a felony. Powder dumped in a parking lot? Yeah, that is a likely terrorist act.

At a subway/bus station or airport, the mall or a government building, perhaps. But an oversized parking lot? Not a chance.

But you NEEEEEVVVVVEEERRRRRR know, Erik... could be a terrorist plot. Better to overreact and be safe!

Haha,

A very nice TSA agent who was retired Army told me once while he was frisking me that the cargo area of airplanes is still no better secured than on September 10th.

The reason why we keep making mistakes is because we're trying to fight terrorism "scientifically".

Which basically says that in order to "prove" we're being "fair" we have to subject everyone to the null-hypothesis that they are "guilty". Hence over-turning centuries of common law presumption of innocence.

Rather they choose to acknowledge it or not, law-enforcement only has a finite amount of police resources. If you're diverting these finite resources to areas that you know beforehand are to be dead-end, than you're only creating opportunities to the bad guy to sneak past you while you're distracted.

There's only one solution to this problem. Profile, profile, profile.

I'm still wondering what is "more serious" than a terrorist in this context.
Just thought that was an odd comment.

I was wondering that myself, JimmyB!

Can't get it to work. It does create a nice long page, but when trying to import it, it doesn't work.

I need this plugin to move from Wordpress via MT to Expression Engine.
