Reminds me of a book called "Everybody poops!"
i think the guy either had trouble doing when young, or one of his kids did and he made a book to say it's okay and not be scared to go to the bathroom.

I don't know if I could go the party pooper route myself. I didn't know whether ot laugh or be encouraged by the bravery it took to make this. I bet there was a lot of 'bathroom' humor during the voice recordings.
I wonder if the guy who got to draw the happy little brown guy realized what a crappy job he had. :)

The author of that book is Shinta Cho, who is (surprise, surprise) Japanese.

For some reason, I'm thinking Japanese toddlerhood is very scatalogically oriented.

Either that, or they're trying to 'work it out'. ;)

It was an odd piece, to be sure. And, I must say, I sort of enjoy that the Japanese people seemed, at one time, less blocked up by US style prudery to fear, revulsion, humor about things natural, from sex to biological function. I do not know how deep that goes there, or how true today, but it was a refreshing innocents of function without being blind to the implications or nature of these topics. Anyway, I had to laugh a bit. But it was more of a general humor regarding the oddities of family life and what we sometimes have to do to get things to work out well in the end... no puns intended... no kidding... (if you can read it without seeing puns or any jokes, then you understand what I saw with the Japanese people with whom I had contact).

Hey, whatever gets your kids to stop ... *referring to the flick* ... pissing on themselves.

    If it works, good.

A bit odd mind you. Having potty trained four children of my own, a step son, and about 50ish other children (owned and operated a day care) it's really all about timing, and patience.

If a book helps, GREAT. If a song encourages, TERRIFIC. If a cartoon aides, OKAY.
