I haven't heard of a more Orwellian name for a crime than this one in a long time. I understand and agree with providing a more severe punishment for being a peeping tom toward children, but seriously, this particular law goes over the deep end as Dr. Helen notes.
And somewhere, a rape crisis feminist is cackling at the possibilities that this sort of law, once expanded, can unleash upon men everywhere.
It is odd how the women in my office regularly "hear" something they think is dirty in a conversation. The type of women that they are this doesnt bother them and makes them laugh, but it is interesting the difference between men and women in the workplace.
Today I said "man-of-war" which is a type of jelly-fish. One of the ladies thought I said "man-whore". In trying to talk about that with the woman that sits next to me I commented how "whore" is seldom used (apparently she hears the word on a regular basis) and how it is never used at work. She didn't understand why not.In her mind its an acceptable word, but this is only due to the fact that she can say it with no fear of being sued and fired and a scarlet letter being permanently attached to ones career.
Women get these weapons put in place that only they can wield, and can't comprehend why it is that men are so reserved in their speech.
PS, your "Remember personal info" has Alzheimer's. It used to remember me, but will no longer do so.
Huh, more thought crimes in the making...
Kinda reminds me of the whole "Near-rape Experience"--you know, defined as anytime a male walks within three feet of a female.
