You mean black people can be racists too?

Hell must have frozen over because the NAACP has actually denounced racist language from a black man toward a white man:
The police officer involved wrote in a report that Williams called him "Honky mother (expletive)," and said, "I (expletive) your momma ... I (expletive) your wife twice." Williams allegedly went on to say he would do something to the officer's daughter, News 4 Jax reported.
"We can't tolerate this type of hatred and racial-type language in this community. It just divides - that is all it does," Isaiah Rumlin, president of the local chapter of the NAACP, told News 4 Jax.
Hey, I am not complaining. More power to this local chapter for taking a much more honest stand than many of the "civil rights" organizations in the rest of the country. I've been labeled a troll on some blogs *cough*The Agitator*cough* for saying that until racism from any source is considered unacceptable, racism will continue to be a problem. It doesn't matter where you come from, racism is wrong. So what if you grew up surrounded by it. If you were surrounded by rape would it be morally acceptable to give you a slap on the wrist for becoming a rapist? *Crickets chirping* Huh, yeah. You usually don't see many people taking that common rubbish about racism to its natural conclusion by applying the logic to other social evils. Maybe it's because... it's... I don't know... blatantly obvious that it's a load of bovine excrement or something.

The most racist person I knew in the US army over a 21 year career was a Black Command Sergeant Major. He made sure that certain jobs were reserved fo Blacks of lesser abilities and supported black soldiers "100%" and whites about 50% when it was needed. The best thing to happen was when he was transferred to a 'promotion' and his white commander (ours was black), relieved him for his discriminatory practices.

Racism comes from power, not the color of one's skin.

You got it just right, I completely agree.
