Let's start a pilot program where all 17 girls from that "pregnancy pact" get one of these as a baby shower present. If that works, then I propose that they be used in place of condoms and birth control pills in public schools.

I wouldn't be too hard on these girls. They knew what they wanted, and they pursued their goals. That alone puts them head and shoulders above those American women who pursue careers and college degrees when what they really want is a family.
As cynical as I often am on subjects like this, I don't think I am prepared to be THAT cynical.
