For many reasons, I don't like Biden. As if his stances on the War on Drugs were not so bad as to make any limited government conservative or libertarian's skin crawl (hint: he's one of the key leaders who brought the War on Drugs into many innocent people's lives), his views on IT and surveillance issues are really troubling. It's with absolutely not hyperbole and a straight face, that I say that if Benito Mussolini were alive today, he would probably find an incredible amount of common ground with Joe Biden's political views as they are the perfect synthesis of capitalism and socialism with a pragmatic, centralizing twist. Compared to him, John McCain really isn't that bad.

PGP, the first serious encryption software for the masses, was created as a response to legislation that he cooked up. Biden should scare the hell out of libertarians and conservatives because he is both anti-firearm and anti-encryption, which means that he is for government supremacy both on the use of force and ability to communicate with others in secret. If those come together, they're the foundation of a modern police state.

I have found myself hoping that Hillary takes the nomination! UGH! But honestly, if we are talking about the lesser of evils, and what will harm the country the least, it is a Hillary presidency. And this isn't something that I say lightly.
Obama will be hard for the R's to combat because of his tele-prompted charisma, and the fact that any opposition to him will be prima facia evidence of racism. One of the worst possible charges in today's PC climate.
McCain will drag the R's with him on his snipe hunt of stopping Global Warming (McCain is a Global Cooling Denier and would subject the US to a trillion dollar initiative to stop that which isn't happening) McCain has also proven that he is more than happy to trample the 1st amendment and pass Shamnesty.
Hillary would, at this stage of the game, rise in a somewhat contested manner thereby not giving her the ability to pass all that she might want to. It might even tie her down with scandal. Also she would prove to be a rallying point for conservatives to resist the liberal agenda.
And one more positive of a Hillary presidency. It just may teach the R's to not give the nomination to a D. (of course I wouldn't hold my breath on that one)
