Hello Mike T.
I've been following your debate with Zippy Catholic about the issue of double effect in War. I had exactly this same debate with Zippy about 18 months ago. It led me to leaving the blog.
I don't know what type of Christianity Zippy is preaching, but it isn't Catholicism. There are several deep logical flaws in his arguments which if taken to full their conclusion are mortal to Christianity itself. In essence he has the wrong conception of double effect.
Here are two links you might find helpful.
(Lawrence Austers): Link 1
Please note Ortalani's comments, they also quote my blog.
(Mine): Link 2
The reason why I'm not contributing to this discussion is that I publicly stated that I was leaving the blog and as I'd like to think I'm a man of my word, I'm not going back. I don't think I'm contradicting my principles by helping others.
I'd be most appreciative if you could not mention my involvement in the matter.
I hope this may be of some assistance to you.
Don't worry, by the time I got a chance to start thinking about your links, I'd already found myself in a similar situation. For what it's worth, I don't think casual reading of W4 means that you have violated your statement that you'd leave his blog. That you no longer commenter there means that you have "left it" in a sense that is meaningful to everyone else. I certainly had no idea who you were until you said something here :)
