Of course the whole DDT argument popped up in that "discussion" thread. And it seems that ecological damage is not worth getting rid of a whole slew of diseases spread by mosquitoes.

Point taken. So it seems that between this, and lamenting about the fertility gap between "smart" and "stupid" people, there's more than one way to get a modern liberal to be racist.
Funny how DDT was banned only after malaria was eradicated in civilized countries. I am sure we will bring it back if it comes close again. There was a lot of such discussion when the US had that stupid West Nile virus scare.
