Quote of the day

However, celebrity Miley Cyrus sided with Hilton in a Twitter conversation.

"Ya that's lame!" the "Hannah Montana" star wrote. "God's greatest commandment is to love. And judging is not loving. That's why Christians have such a bad rep."

Funny, I recall the greatest commandment being "Love the Lord," not "Love your neighbor as yourself." The specifics aren't important since the Bible is just a collection of writings by dead semites who wanted to exploit women and hate gays...

Miley Cyrus needs to read the story of Soddom and Gomorrah.  And why isn't anybody in the media upset about Hilton's tyraid and disrespectful name calling? Hilton wants Miss California to be politically correct, yet he can call her offensive names?

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20

Homosexuals would do well to realize that people like Perez Hilton are to their cause what a pot-smoking, alcoholic black serial rapist of teenage white girls would have been to black civil rights in the 1950s. His behavior is such that if he didn't exist, the more extreme opponents of gay marriage (who want to ban it, not simply keep it from becoming legal) would have to invent him.

Craig,

I assume that when you say "Hilton wants Miss California to be politically correct, yet he can call her offensive names?" that you are saying that tongue in cheek? PC is a cudgel to use against the enemies of the left, not a double edged sword that could ever be used against them.

Hilton's behavior is truly offensive, and I hope that Miss California (or someone else) sues over the blatant religious discrimination.

I can't seem to recall the party's name.  But Hilton reminds me of one of the original gossip columnist that had virtually no turn-out at his funeral.  His entire career respirates on shock-value.  Remove that from the equation, and he's gone.  Best thing in the world to do is just ignore him.  A bit as with vampires, acknowledgement is invitation.

Prejean's heart's in the right place.  And God bless her for having the fortitude to stand by her values.  But the question misses the bigger picture that the state should not be a party to a private matter called marriage.  Their input can only be poisonous as it is a lifeless, uncaring, and antithetical entity to what a Christian marriage encompasses.

JAmie Foxxxxxxxx puts Miley into proper context.

Oh man... I had forgotten about that. I haven't had a chance to listen to it, but I remember it really pissing off O'Reilly, so it must be good!

judging is not loving

No, it's not.  But I suspect Cyrus hasn't an idea what is meant by the biblical concepts of "judging" or of "love".

Neither mean what she thinks they mean.

"Ya that's lame!" the "Hannah Montana" star wrote. "God's greatest commandment is to love. And judging is not loving. That's why Christians have such a bad rep."

It's heartening to see that the whole "music/t.v./movie star" route has given her the wisdom of Solomon. Bless her silly little bleeding heart.

As for giving Christians a bad rep, blatant lies about Christianity and Christian behavior --past and present -- are as responsible for that as "judgmentalism" shown toward others by Christians.

Well if Miley Cyrus said it, then yeah! I believe it!.... hah
