Commenter Feeds Plugin

Commenter Feeds plugin screenshot for settingsThe purpose of this plugin is to create a RSS feed for the users who comment on your blog. Once you have it installed, you need to go to the Plugins configuration area under the System View, and enter the directory that the feeds will be written to. It's a good idea to use a directory that is under mt-static/support for this. I use mt-static/support/userfeeds for my feeds.

Other options include the ability to only create feeds for commenters that have authenticated themselves. Any authentication system that Movable Type supports should work without incident here if you want to take advantage of this feature. Lastly, the default number of comments to track is set at 10, which is a pretty good number for performance reasons.

The reason I created this plugin was to serve as a compliment to ActionStreams. With it, any Movable Type-powered website is just one step away from having its own ActionStreams plugin written for it, and because it uses RSS, creating an ActionStreams plugin is accessible to people who don't know Perl.

Download it, and let me know what you think! As always, any constructive criticism, concerns, bug fixes and general kvetching is welcome.

If you like this work, please consider rattling the ol' tip jar!
